World Read Aloud Day 2020

We celebrated World Read Aloud Day this week with the help from some very special guests including CHS learners, Anthony Hill from the CISD School Board, and a class from Canyon Ranch Elementary.

Super Teacher Awards

Please help the Coppell ISD Education Foundation spotlight the dedicated and hardworking students, teachers, administrators and support staff in CISD by nominating them for a Super Star award. The deadline for the third round of Super Star nominations is Feb. 21. Everyone nominated, regardless of whether they are chosen as a winner, will receive a printed certificate, so please nominate as many deserving individuals as possible! Kids Heart Challenge Benefitting the American Heart Association

The American Heart Association visited our school this week to kick off the Kids Heart Challenge (formerly Jump Rope for Heart)! During their visit, learners joined teams to work together to defeat heart disease while learning how easy and FUN it can be to take care of our hearts!

Over the next few weeks, learners will continue learning more about heart disease, exercise, healthy eating, and the importance of helping/giving back to others. We hope you will join us as we work to support the American Heart Association’s mission of saving lives. This year we have set a goal to reach at least $15,000 raised again to help fight heart disease and help kids with sick hearts! To help us reach our goal, we are taking a SLIME CHALLENGE!!! Any learner who raises $200 (or more!) earns a cup of SLIME and will get to SLIME Coach T. and any learner that raises $500 (or more) earns a cup of SLIME to SLIME Ms. Martin!

It is almost time for our 3rd Annual TCE Cultural Night, and we'd love for you all to attend! This year we are also incorporating an Art Show to highlight our TCE artists and raise funds for our art program.

Coppell ISD is in need of additional crossing guards to serve from 7:10 - 8:10 AM and 2:55 - 3:55 PM each day. The starting rate is $12.00 per hour. If you are interested, please apply online at www.coppellisd.com. If you have any questions, please contact the district office at 214-496-8050.
