Principal's Message
Good afternoon CHS students and families,
This week is the midterms of our first trimester. We have no school on Friday, and teachers will be completing grades. Grades will be available in Parent/Studentvue next week. Conferences are on Wednesday, October 18. We are so pleased to offer both in person drop-in conferences and Zoom conferences by appointment. In person drop-in conferences are from 4:30-6:00 and Zoom conferences are from 6:30-8:30. Please see below for more information.
As we are mid-trimester, I would also like to highlight the multitude of activities that we offer here at CHS. In addition to the sports, clubs, and activities, students excel in the classroom in so many ways. We have a variety of Career and Technical Education opportunities such as construction, culinary arts, marketing, early childhood education, manufacturing, visual media, computer science, agriculture, and more! Check out the photos of our students building our house, our student store, our culinary arts classes, and our floriculture classes in action. Additionally, our physics classes recently traveled to Linfield College to have a campus tour and listen to an award winning physicist. These are just a few of our amazing students expanding their learning.
I would also like to spotlight our fantastic school spirit that is reflected in our student section. Our students show collective care for others’ accomplishments, and I am so proud to serve them and our community.
Have a wonderful week!
Best,
Cari Sloan

Our Cougar CHAMPIONS for the week are David Sanchez and Melissa Perez.
David Sanchez - David is a senior who was new to football last year. In two seasons he has not missed a practice or a workout. This last Thursday night he registered his first catch of his career. This accomplishment was a testament to his hard work, determination, and his commitment to his team and school.
Melissa Perez - is an example of a champion for the dance team. When Melissa sets her mind on a goal, she puts in the work to meet that goal. She demonstrates perseverance in her work ethic, dedication, and determination. She has shown tremendous growth as a dancer and has earned a spot in our competitive contemporary routine.
