Thanks to our Austin Ed Fund grant this year, Clifton was able to gift each graduating senior with a green & white cord. Third-year students also received a Clifton T-shirt (our first new shirt in over 5 years!). We are excited to continue providing these items for students moving forward.
Out of 48 seniors in a Clifton CTE program this year
- 38 will cross the stage with both a Clifton cord AND a CTE completer cord - this means they have completed at least 3 classes and 4 credits in a Career Tech Program of Study
- 22 students are planning to pursue post-secondary education - this includes courses at ACC, a 4-year college, trade school, or an 18+ program within Austin ISD
- 9 students are planning to work full time
- 14 students are planning to combine work and post-secondary education
- 2 students are planning to pursue military careers
Our hope is to follow up with these students in six months and one year to see how their post-secondary plans have evolved.
We hope that everyone has a restful summer, and we look forward to welcoming back our returning Clifton students on August 14!
