National Library Week April 13-17
Unlimited Possibilities @Your Library
Shop the Scholastic BOGO Book Fair!
We love our avid student readers! To thank you for your continued patronage, and for the last two most successful book fairs ever, we are holding a buy one, get one book fair. For every item that you purchase, you will receive one item of equal or lesser value FOR FREE!
Lucky Reader Contest
Our library is full of unlimited possibilities! Some of our library books have been checked out to a "lucky reader." If you find one of these books, you will be given a prize. You will not know if you have a lucky reader book until you check it out.
Super Book Reviewer
Share your thoughts about the last book that you read with our whole school district by adding a book review to Destiny. Every student who adds a Destiny book review will be entered into a raffle for prizes. Please note: in order to be eligible, your review must be appropriate. All winners will be announced at the end of the day on Friday, April 17.
Uncover the Super Readers
Some of our super teacher readers have channeled their inner superheroes. Check out the bulletin board outside of the library to unmask these super teacher readers. The student who correctly uncovers the most super teacher readers will be awarded a $10 Scholastic Book Fair gift certificate. Guessing sheets can be picked up in the library, and the winner will be announced at lunch on Friday, April 17. The book fair gift certificate must be redeemed no later than Monday, April 20.
Enter the American Library Association's #librarymade Contest
Our library offers more than books, magazines, and playaways. In our new makerspace you will see students creating with Legos, solving a problem with Sphero, and working on videos. What have you made in the library or with the help of the library? Share your creation- an image, video, craft, etc.- on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter using the hashtag #librarymade for the chance to win a $100 Amazon gift certificate. See Mrs. Young for help if you do not use any of these social media sites. Go to the website http://ilovelibraries.org/librarymade to view the official rules.
