Parkrose Middle School Staff Update

As we arrive at the final week of this 2019-2020 school year I want to thank you for your work and your flexibility. We have navigated these unprecedented times and kept the focus on our students and our families and ensuring that their needs have been met throughout this pandemic and unexpected school closure time.

Please continue to reach out to your students and classes this week as a way to provide as much closure as possible for our students. I am hopeful that our 8th grade class will have some closure to their middle school experience as we celebrate the end of their middle school years on Wednesday with our drive thru Recognition and our Recognition video. We look forward to seeing staff on Wednesday to support and cheer on our 8th grade students who are able to attend.

As we wrap up this school year and look forward to next year. We are anticipating the re-opening guidelines from ODE this week and we are continuing to plan for both remote learning and in-person learning for next year. Our goal as we plan for next school year will be that all staff are prepared and flexible enough that we are able to transition between both in person and remote learning environments as the health and safety of our students and our community demands. It is important that we all understand that next year's version of distance learning will look very different than this year. We will continue to provide updates throughout the summer as we have more to share regarding our reopening plan in Parkrose.

All staff are invited to attend our 8th grade Recognition Drive Thru on Wednesday, June 10th from 3:00-6:00pm. We will have a designated area for staff during this event so that you are able to see and congratulate our 8th graders who are able to attend. We ask that staff wear a mask to this event and follow social distancing guidelines while on campus.

Below is the meeting schedule for this last week of school. Meetings have been adjusted based on the furlough schedule. All meetings are scheduled through your Google Calendar. Please accept meeting invitations and look for the link for that meeting in the invitation. The meetings below will all be held through Zoom.
