Martin School Family Update

Dear Families,

Between Hanukkah next week, Christmas on its way, and our Winter Break just around the corner, the children have been full of excitement! We will be adding to this excitement with musical performances, craft parties, and an Ugly Sweater Day next week!

Please remember that Friday, December 23 is a half day of school. Dismissal will begin at 12:00pm on Friday. Lunch will be served on Friday. As always, children may bring in a lunch from home or order a lunch.

On behalf of the entire Martin Community, I would like to wish Mrs. Melissa DesJardins, one of Martin's finest Instructional Assistants, a very happy retirement! For those who know Mel, you know how kind, loving, loyal, and hardworking she is! All the best, Mel! We'll miss you! Visit often!

Next Thursday, we'll be celebrating the season with some of our ugliest sweaters!

Next Thursday is the MSA's Winter Party! Parties will be held in all K-5 classrooms. Students will create a craft and enjoy their Party-in-a-Bag goodies from home. For "Party-in-a-Bag," families are asked to fill their child's bag (the size of a standard brown lunch bag) with a drink and goodies to be enjoyed by their child during the party. Due to food allergies, drinks and snacks should not be supplied to your child's class.

The totals from our Apple Tree Brewery Fundraiser are in! Earlier this month, we raised $1051! Thank you for your support of the MSA's Playground Committee's fundraiser for a fully accessible play structure! Every donation gets us closer to making the play structure a reality for our children. All families may opt to insure their child's chrome book for $25 since all students use assigned chrome books in school. It is strongly recommended to families of children in grades 4 and 5 since chrome books may occasionally be going home with those students. For more information, please click here.
