TRACK SUCCESS!
Track season concluded this month with the District Championship Meet in Bells. The Indians put up a STRONG showing finishing as the District Champion Runner Up in 7th grade boys, third place in both 7th and 8th grade girls, and 5th place in 8th grade boys. Unfortunately, due to the rainy conditions, field events were not able to be run off at the district meet. There is no doubt we would have had more champions if the those events had taken place, and the girls teams especially would have finished higher in the standings as they had numerous athletes that had been winning medals all season in the field events. Listed below are our individual district champions and medalists:
7th Boys
Jorge Carcamo: District Champion 1600 Meter Run and 2400 Meter Run
Tyler Whitman: District Champion 800 Meter Run

MORE BAND ACCOLADES
Once again, our LHR band represented Bonham well at their most recent UIL Contest in Pottsboro. They earned an EXCELLENT rating in both their concert and sight reading pieces. Mrs. Dickson has done a wonderful job with our junior high band this year, and we are poised for great things in the future.
AN AMAZING STAFF
This month we were thrilled to support our LH Rather Paraprofessionals and our Librarian. Mrs. Hunter does a fantastic job keeping the library and all of our technology organized and on point. Mrs. Wilson excels in whatever she does, and she wears a lot of hats and demonstrates flexibility every day. Ms. Anderson has stepped into our ISS role mid year and has also done a wonderful job serving our kiddos. We are truly blessed with great people at LH Rather.
UIL FIELD TRIP
We recently too our UIL team on a tour of Cowboys Stadium as a reward for all their hard work. It seems fitting to celebrate our District Championship at the home of the five time Super Bowl Champion Dallas Cowboys. Our students got to tour the press box, ground level and upper level suites, the Cotton Bowl Museum, the Cowboys' locker room, the cheerleaders' locker room, and even got to see the field crew installing the turf. The students had a great time, and they certainly earned their reward!
