Blair Oaks R-II School District ~ Monday, March 22
Late Start April 9th
Our community is extraordinarily blessed that our schools have been able to be in-seat for the 2020-2021 school year. That accomplishment would never have been possible without the tireless efforts of our school employees and community support. They have come to the front lines of our schools and shown up every day to create a safe place for our students to learn. We are forever grateful for the work our school employees have done, and we are so thankful they had the opportunity to be among the first teachers and school employees in the State of Missouri to receive their vaccines.
The schools in Cole County are especially thankful for the work of the Cole County Health Department and Cole County Commissioners for advocating for our schools to offer a vaccination opportunity for our staff. We also greatly appreciate the efforts of the other community organizations that have contributed resources to help make an event of this size happen.
Blair Oaks, along with seventeen other schools in Cole County, were able to organize the first round of the vaccines for their teachers and staff last Friday, March 19th. The second dose is scheduled for Friday, April 9th. In order to accommodate, Blair Oaks will have a two-hour late start on that day. Buses will run two hours later than normal. Doors will open at 9:30 am. Reminder - breakfast is not served when we have a late start.
Late Start on Friday, April 9th
