Staff Spotlight: Coach Mike Kirschner (Assistant Director to Athletics and Head Football Coach)

Welcome back to the Warrior Nation, Coach Kirschner!

Coach Kirschner returns to his alma mater (1979 WCHS Graduate) as the Head Football Coach, as well as Assistant Director to Athletics. The past three seasons he was coaching at Mt. Vernon and at Ben Davis for eleven seasons prior to that. Coach Kirschner has been quoted saying Warren Central is "his dream job". Check out the IndyStar article on his announcement.

ASVAB Testing - Tuesday, January 26th

Seniors that are still in need of a graduation pathway will be expected to attend ASVAB, which will take place on Tuesday, January 26th at 7:15 am. Testing locations for the test will be sent to students via email. Transportation can be provided if needed. Attendance at the test is required. Please direct any questions you may have to the senior cohort team.

Tutoring - Tuesdays and Thursday; 2:45pm-4:45pm

Tutoring has changed to Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45-4:45. Food will be provided by Chartwells and transportation will be provided home. See the flyer for more information.

ISTEP Testing - Starts beginning of February

All Juniors and select Seniors will be taking the ISTEP+ in February. Seniors that are still in need of a graduation pathway will be expected to attend ISTEP+. Please see below for more information.

Testing Information

Spring ISTEP+

Testing for the Spring ISTEP+ will begin in February. This round of ISTEP+ will be completed by ALL Juniors, as well as Seniors that have not passed or have met a graduation pathway. Testing will take place at Warren Central High School. Students must attend all four days they are scheduled. Transportation will be provided for all testers. Information will be mailed home and emailed to all students.

ALL Juniors:

Last Names A-K --> February 2nd through February 5th
Last Names L-Z --> February 9th through February 12th

Select Seniors:

Seniors A-Z who have not passed or met a pathway --> February 9th through February 12th

P-EBT Cards (3rd Round)

The 3rd round of the Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) will begin to be mailed out to your home on January 31, 2021. It is essential that you keep your card, as additional P-EBT assistance will be loaded back onto this same card. Again, PLEASE KEEP THIS CARD.

For additional questions or information, please feel free to call our Food Service Department at 317-869-4381 or 317-869-4389, or you can visit the Family and Social Services Administration website. If you should happen to move and need to complete a change of address form, please CLICK HERE. The assistance is only for students in grades K-12. Early Childhood and Adult Education does not qualify.

Warren Equity and Inclusion Survey

We would love to hear your voice and gather your perceptions related to equity in our District! You’re invited to participate in the Warren Equity and Inclusion Diagnostic Survey, between now and Tuesday, Feb. 2. Your participation is entirely voluntary. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous.
