February 2021 - Building Updates
LFHS SECOND SEMESTER UPDATES
Hello Lake Fenton Families,
We are already into February and second semester has been going extremely well. I want to once again thank you all for all your hard work and communication with us here at Lake Fenton High School. Please continue to monitor your child for signs or symptoms of COVID-19 and please be sure to keep them home if your child - or anyone in the family - is awaiting test results. If a student tests positive, please notify us immediately as we will need to do contact tracing in both classrooms and lunch areas to identify any students or staff that have been exposed. If you have any questions, please contact us at (810)591-9591. When we all work together, we decrease the likelihood of having to quarantine members of our student faculty. I truly appreciate all your diligence in supporting our efforts!
This coming Wednesday, February 10th is our student count day -- an important day for all school districts. Please make sure your child attends school either face to face or remotely depending on their current schedule and notify us of any absences so that we can account for all our students on this day. Attendance is important for your child's success today - and every day.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend and stay safe on the wintry roads. We have lots more leading and learning ahead of us this year.
Proud to be Blue!

IMPORTANT HEALTH PROTOCOLS
In order for our second semester to be successful, it is important that you continue to monitor your child's health using our district health screener each morning. If your child shows or develops any of the symptoms listed below, please keep them home and allow them to attend classes remotely. If YOU or anyone in your house is getting tested, PLEASE keep your student(s) home until those results are available.
Contact your child's physician if you suspect your child is symptomatic or has been exposed to COVID-19. Additionally, please notify our office of any changes in your child's health by calling (810)591-9591.
If your child has ANY ONE of these symptoms they should not attend in person:
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fever of 100.4 or higher
- New loss of taste or smell
If your child has any TWO of these symptoms they should not attend in person:
- Chills/sweating
- Sore throat
- Muscle pain or body aches
- New onset of severe headache
- Diarrhea, vomiting or abdominal pain
- Congestion or runny nose
It takes ALL of us staying diligent to keep everyone safe and healthy. Thank you for your continued support.
