Things really picked up at Trollwood this week and we've got programs spread out all over the Fargo-Moorhead metro! Totally Trollwood Musical rehearsals are already in full swing at North, while Trollwood Children's Theatre and The Trollwood Players both had their first week of rehearsals at Discovery Middle School and South High School, and ArtSpark returned to the Trollwood campus for its first week of July sessions.

Tickets for the Totally Trollwood Musical The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition, the Trollwood Children's Theatre production of Seussical Kids, and The Trollwood Players production of The Best of Trollwood Sketch Comedy are available now! All tickets will be reserved individually online. You will no longer have to wait in line for a good seat. Just pick one from the seat map online!

The Trollwood Players opened rehearsal for The Best of Trollwood Sketch Comedy directed by Scott McClure. The show will feature some of the best sketches written by Trollwood students in sketch comedy classes over the last several years. Check out photos from rehearsal below!

Each week, Trollwood Performing Arts School will celebrate its senior students through feature articles. You will get to know each of our seniors and what their plans are for life after high school. Seniors were also recognized in a ceremony during Sun Celebration. Please join us in congratulating them and wishing them luck in their future endeavors!

Kyla Nelson, a Davies High School graduate, has been involved in Trollwood for 14 years. She started with five years of ArtSpark, was in the cast of the Totally Trollwood Musicals Shrek Jr. in 2015, The Music Man Jr. in 2016, Madagascar Jr. in 2017, and Honk Jr. in 2018, and was in the cast of the Mainstage Musicals Disney’s Freaky Friday in 2019, Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella in 2021, and has been cast in the upcoming Singin’ in the Rain for 2023. Trollwood Children's Theatre kicked off rehearsal for Seussical Kids this week. The young performers led by director Shanara Lassig are getting a crash course in all of the basics of theatre including how to interpret stage directions such as upstage, downstage, stage left, and stage right. In the words of Singin' in the Rain's Cosmo Brown, "The show must go on! Come rain, come shine, come snow, come sleet! The show must go on!" Even though the Mainstage Musical is postponed a year, the Singin' in the Rain crew is still hard at work preparing for Summer 2023!

The technical crew is hard at work getting ahead on the set build for 2023's Singin' in the Rain. The set will feature multiple turntables including turntables stacked on top of turntables. The turntable they were working on this week features 204 casters and it isn't even the largest one. Check out the photos of part of the set below!

Trollwood Performing Arts School offers rewarding volunteer opportunities working with positive and fun people to benefit a great cause! There’s a place for everyone at Trollwood! You can volunteer in any area that interests you and no experience is required. We’d love for YOU to join the Trollwood volunteer force. Without our dedicated volunteers, Trollwood would not be able to have such a positive impact on the youth of our region.

We are seeking volunteers to help with costume alterations and ushers for Totally Trollwood Musical, Trollwood Children's Theatre, and Trollwood Players in July and early August.
