Dear Sacajawea Families-
Teachers will continue to connect with you this week. Please see the below message from SAC counselors, Ms. Hinrichs and Ms. Hester. Work on the district packets, but most importantly, take care of yourselves.
Be well,
Dominique Dennis

Message from SAC Counselors
Hello Sacajawea Scholars and Caring Adults –
We wanted to take a moment and check in with all of you during this time of uncertainty to let you know that we are thinking of you and hope you are safe and well. The Sacajawea counselors will be checking our email, Google voicemail, and Google messages during the school day throughout the closure to help you the best way that we are able. Scholars and/or families can connect with us through these methods, with our contact information listed below.
One resource that we wanted to pass along right away to all of you is the Washington 211 line. Please feel free to access, either by phone by calling 211, or their website at www.wa211.org. This resource provides information for all types of assistance ranging from employment, financial, transportation, etc. It has several language options available by phone and website.
Students, we especially want to encourage you to stay engaged with learning as much as you can. Read at least 30 minutes every day, practice math, get outside in the sunshine when you can, and spend time on the work packets that our district and teachers have provided. Check in with friends (by phone or computer, NOT in person until the experts tell us it’s safe to meet in person again) from time to time to connect with them. Find a balance between learning and socializing.
Try to keep a positive attitude during this time. Take care of yourself and encourage others through self-care. Self-care are the things that we do to help keep yourself strong, calm, and able to keep moving forward when faced with new challenges. These are things like getting enough exercise, getting adequate sleep and good nutrition, journaling, drawing, and staying connected with family and friends (again, as the health care experts suggest). In the coming weeks, we will be sharing some additional things you can do to take care of yourself and others.
Sacajawea Warriors are strong and capable, and we will get through this together. We look forward to connecting with scholars and families in the coming weeks and we hope to see you soon!
Sincerely,
Your Sacajawea Counselors, Ms. Hester and Ms. Hinrichs
