Happy Fall Everyone!
Our book fair was a huge success and we enjoyed dinner with families! Thank you to all of you who supported this event. As the temperatures start fluctuating, please keep in mind that students still go outside for recess and may need a jacket in the morning. Many students have started coming to school with Smart Watches. These are quickly becoming a problem with students watching videos, chatting with others, and playing games. If this is a problem, we will treat Smart Watches as electronic devices. That means, they will not be allowed at school and in the classrooms. Please talk to your child about proper times to use these devices, if he/she has one. Thank you so much for helping us with your child's success. One other reminder, please consider donating to our school fundraiser! Emails went out for each student with links for donations from you and your family members and friends. We greatly appreciate the help!

BOXTOPS!! Since the Boxtop company has switched from clipping BoxTops to scanning your receipt through their app, we have seen a drastic decrease in participation. Library News
What an awesome month September was for the library! We were able to have our fall book fair IN PERSON and it was a HUGE success! We made close to $1700, some in cash and some in credits to be spent on the Scholastic website or on books from the book fair. (See the pics below of students enjoying some of the books we purchased from the fair.) We are incredibly grateful to everyone who shopped at the book fair or who volunteered their time to make it a success! We are also tremendously grateful to everyone who donated to our Bucks for Books fundraiser. We collected $480 to be used for purchasing books and other items to promote reading.
And now that the book fair is over, we are back to focusing on library lessons to strengthen reading skills and support classroom curriculum. In the photos below, Early Childhood students play with fall leaves (attached to balloons for added excitement!) and kindergartners enjoy owl snacks they made themselves after learning about nocturnal animals.
Happy Reading!
