Alcohol Awareness Workshop

JAM attended a workshop with our Year 11 Students to raise their awareness of alcohol and the students also had a chance to try the "beer goggles".

  • Daryl 9T - nominated by Miss Longhurst for always being helpful and polite in History.
  • Wiktoria 8T - for her excellent work in Food Technology.
  • 9C and 9D - for their hard work in German this term which has resulted in amazing assessment results.
  • Abbie, Abigail, Amber, Indira and Rachel 8C - for their fantastic written work in German this term.
  • Kiero, Andrew and Emily 7T, Grace 7C and Jordan Lee 10T - nominated by PE staff for their performance during the District Cross Country and being selected for the District Championships.
  • Emma 7C - nominated by Miss Connellan for her excellent reading in English and great group participation.
  • Dmitrijs 11C - for making excellent progress with his controlled assessment using Autodesk inventor to develop his project in Engineering.
  • Year 11 Computer Science students for their excellent work and concentration during their controlled assessment.
  • Ollie 11C - nominated by Mr Wilson for his fantastic video in Media Studies.
  • Year 8A1 Maths students have been nominated by Mrs Ferns for their great investigative work on parallel lines.
  • Toni-Jayne 11S - nominated by Mr Cox for an amazing emotive memory technique in Drama.

  • Miss Kidner - our new Library Assistant who has manged to transform the library in the short time she has been with us.
  • Mrs Wright - for her support this term with Food Technology lessons.
  • Year 11 students involved in the Special Assembly today would like to thank Mr Cooper for his support in preparing for this and his support with the presentation.

Cross Country

23 students from Years 7-10 represented the school at the District Cross Country Championships. 5 of these students have now been selected to complete at the District Championships.

Dodgeball

Our Year 8 girls won the District Dodegball Championships. Well done to all involved.

Reminders

  • Christmas Showcase - Wednesday 21st December form 7.00pm to 8.30pm.
  • Christmas Lunch - Thursday 22nd December - all students should have given their lunch choices to their form tutors. Students can also wear a Christmas jumper in the afternoon.
