A Message from the Superintendent
End of the Day Pickup Request
The teaching staff has a request for those of you who congregate on the sidewalk outside the building near door 18 at the end of the day. Unbeknownst to you, our HVAC systems pull fresh air from the outside into each room at all times through vents. They run all the time and cannot be shut down, per law. Unfortunately, they also pull in any noise outside. So, the students and staff can hear any loud music from cars, engines revving, and more problematic, any loud conversations being held on the sidewalk/patio. They are reporting that the “noise” from outside is disrupting class.
We know parents start arriving in large numbers around 3:10 each day. We would ask that you keep this in mind and help protect our learning environment for the sixth grade teaching team until the day ends at 3:20. Again, we understand you would never know this, so we wanted to share and ask for your cooperation. Thank you.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
I will not bully others.
I will not stand by while others are bullied.
I will report and deal with bullying whenever I see it...
...because I have the power of one.
Make friends with someone you don’t know at school. If you've ever been isolated from others at school or you were new at school and it took time to make friends, you know what it feels like to be left out. Even if you were never isolated, imagine how it would feel. This week, find someone new to sit with at lunch or play with a new friend at recess. Ask someone on the bus to share a seat and get to know someone new! Make friends with someone at school who you don't know.
Be a leader. Take action and don't let anyone at school be in isolation.
