To Winter Guard for a great season!! They ended their season this weekend at the WKU championship! Great job ladies!!

Band Booster Meeting this Tuesday, April 1st @ 7:00pm in the band room.

We will be discussing yard sale, car show and band banquet. Come out and help us make plans!

Yard sale is April 12th. We will receive donations from 4:30 to 6 at the band room on April 7, 8, 9, 10, 11. Also Sunday (April 6th) drop off donations from 3 to 5.

Parents! Don't forget we need parents to either signup for yard sale or car show. Friday we need help sorting and pricing the items. Saturday, we need help with customers to price items.

Band kids!! There are two ways to get out of working the day of the car show.

1. Get a sponsor for $300 or more!!! Go ask a local business to be a car show sponsor for East Limestone Band. Click here to get sponsor packages:

Note: The sponsorship amount does not have to be the amount in the packages.

2. Hand out flyers at a local car show. Let Mr. McChristian or Jean Ann Davis (via Remind) know which car show you are going to and we will provide you with the flyers.

Band banquet will be May 9th starting at 7:00 pm at Sugar Creek Farm and Venue. The format will be similar to last year. We will eat, senior baskets, band awards voted on by the kids and then dancing!!

Mr. McChristian is a son of Athens, and a graduate of Athens High School, 1988. During the summer of 1991 he was the lead euphonium with the then 6 time World Champion Concord Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps and competed with the group on their national tour ending with world finals in Dallas Texas. During the next spring, he traveled with the corps on a European tour. In the spring of 1998 Mr. McChristian graduated from UNA with a bachelors degree in music education.

His first teaching position was in Lynnville, TN at Richland High School, where he was tasked with reviving a defunct band program. the school had not had a band for 22 years. In the Fall of 2005, Mr. McChristian moved back to Athens and was named the band director of Elkmont High School. He was there for 14 years. The longest tenure of any band director at Elkmont. In the fall of 2019, Mr. McChristian came to East Limestone.
