Important Information:
RES 5th grade Families,
We will be administering the Gallup Student Poll during the week of October 10th-14th, measuring Hope, Engagement and Well-being among GCPS students in grades 5-12. This national survey is completely anonymous but will provide invaluable data as we continue our pursuit of the goals expressed in the Board's Strategic Plan.
Randolph Elementary will administer the survey during school hours on Thursday, October 13th to our 5th grade students. The survey consists of 20 questions, takes about ten minutes to complete, and does not ask for personally identifiable information.
If you are interested in learning more about the Gallup Student Poll, please visit https://www.gallup.com/education/233537/gallup-student-poll.aspx or reach out to your child’s school. If you want to opt your child out of the Gallup Student Poll, please call the school or email Krystle Demas, RES Survey Coordinator, at kdemas@glnd.k12.va.us.
The feedback from this survey is extremely valuable as we continually work to provide our students with the best experience possible. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you!

How can students be referred for gifted screening?
A teacher or a parent may refer a child for gifted screening. If your child exhibits gifted behaviors and is performing above level, you or your child’s teachers may refer your child as a good candidate. The fall testing window opens October 3rd and closes October 31st.
Go to Goochland County Schools Gifted Page. Here you will find the Gifted Referral Process and the Initial Referral Form. This form is due to Randolph Elementary by 3pm on October 31st.
Please contact egemmill@glnd.k12.va.us with questions.
- If you need more car tags please email roadruunners@glnd.k12.va.us *you need them for car rider, all after school activity pick ups and in case of an emergency (this will help with safety & efficiency in case of an emergency)
