Dear MMS Families,


We are hours away from February Vacation and on behalf of all of us at MMS, I hope that you and your family have a fun and restful week next week. Our hallways are filled with some happy and excited kids today! We have a few upcoming dates to keep in mind:


  • 2/28: Winter II Volleyball, Wrestling, and Swim practices begin
  • 3/1: Unified Basketball practice begins
  • 3/2: Early release Day
  • 3/11: End of Trimester Two (Vacation is a great time to work on boosting grades!)
  • 3/11-13: Junie B. Jones: The Musical, Jr. performances
  • 3/18: Trimester 2 Progress Reports posted

Introducing Junie B. Jones: The Musical Jr.

We are thrilled to present the Massabesic Middle School Drama Club production of Junie B. Jones: The Musical Jr, an adaptation of the Broadway play. Our Drama Club participants and our directors, Mrs. Nielsen and Mr. Daigle, have worked incredibly hard on this production over the last few months. We are all thrilled to present it to you in person in the in the MMS Cafetorium. We also will be offering a streaming option for those loved ones who are far away!

Congratulations to our January Students of the Month!

Our January Students of the Month were entered into our raffle to win an MMS hooded sweatshirt. We have many ways to celebrate our awesome students, including monthly and trimester recognitions and our daily Super Student Awards. We hold a raffle each Friday for Super Student prizes!

School Counselors' Note

Small groups are underway at each grade level and have covered topics including friendships and social media, coping skills, social skills and peer relations. Groups meet during morning homeroom, RTL, and during the lunch block.


If your child is interested in meeting with their school counselor one on one or in a small group, please have them reach out to their grade level counselor. RSU 57 Nurse Links

Remember as always to keep your child home if they are sick. Please call the Main Office (247-6121) to report the absence. Remember to do a daily pre-screening prior to attending school. Visit RSU57 Pooled Testing for more information and to complete the online consent form if interested in pooled testing. See the linked information letter and electronic consent form here for permission to do BinaxNow Rapid testing if symptomatic at school.
