Hello Art Rutkin Elementary Families,
We hope you all have had a wonderful summer so far. It is exciting to know that we are only six weeks away from having the first students start the first day of school at Art Rutkin Elementary. We are grateful to still have this time to continue settling into the new school as we receive many deliveries each day.
It is exciting to see our PSO off to a great start and getting all the details in place. The PSO is in need of a vice president. Thank you to Shannon Crist - PSO president, Waad Qasam - Secretary and Sarika Mosley - Treasurer. Please see the PSO website for details and how to get involved. Our Art Literacy Coordinator, Leah Baldwin, has also been busy getting the program details organized for this first year. Many thanks to her and the support of Anne Johnson - TTSD Art Lit Coordinator. Please consider the Art Rutkin Elementary PSO or Art Literacy program if you are interested in making a donation to help with start up programs. The funds will go towards Art Literacy, field trips, the school garden, or another area you wish to designate. Contact the PSO, or our school office with any questions.
Please make a note that our Back-To-School-Night will be on Monday, August 28th. There will be time to connect with teachers, visit classrooms, get grade level information and sign up for volunteer opportunities. There will also be a family picnic time for connecting with staff, families and classmates. More details to follow for official times and scheduling.

Volunteer Information
Do you want to be a volunteer or be a field trip chaperone? Have you gone through TTSD's volunteer process? If not, please make sure to do so. Once cleared, you are good for 3 years. If there is even a slight chance your answer is yes, then please complete the steps. It's better to have clearance than not! Here is the link!
*If you have been cleared at your previous school and haven't let me know already, please email me @ artrutkinoffice@ttsd.k12.or.us I'll get you added to our volunteer computer. 🤗
