WBMSHS Principal Update to Families
Weeks of 11/7/22 - 11/18/22
What a great evening last night for one of our seniors, Stephanie Stanton, who directed a Broadway production as part of her senior project. The house was packed and the cast and crew did an amazing job. We look forward to more drama productions this year.
Please be mindful that next week, Monday - Wednesday, all students will be dismissed at 11:00am. Please make arrangements for transportation as students will not be able to remain in the building after dismissal unless they are working with a teacher.
We hope to see many of you at the teacher conferences. Dates, times and the link to register for a conference is listed below.
Lastly, the fall sports season has come to and end for many of our teams with the exception of Girls Cross Country and Football. XC will be competing in the MA State Meet tomorrow at Fort Devens. Football will be competing on Thanksgiving morning at Southeastern. Good luck for successful outcomes for both teams.
We want to congratulate all of our fall student athletes and coaches for providing us with amazing competition. It was a pleasure to watch them on the fields and courts. They should all be very proud of their accomplishments. I would be remiss if I did not take a moment to thank our parents and guardians for supporting your students and coaches. Without your help through Boosters, Grid Iron and WB athletics the successful seasons would not be made possible.
Have a great weekend.
Mrs. Page

Guidance News
Guidance has been busy over the last few weeks. Counselors have been working with students through individual meetings, small group sessions, as well as class assemblies to share important information with them.
- 8th grade students who are interested in applying to SE worked with counselors to prepare for the upcoming interviews.
- Grades 7-9 were surveyed on Executive Functioning skills. Data collected will be used to help students meet with success.
- Grades 10-11 took a career survey. Data collected will be used for a career fair in the spring.
- 10th graders were called together to hear about HOBY, The Hugh O'Brien Youth Foundation, which is a great program connecting young adults with distinguished leaders from various sectors such as business, technology, education, government, arts & science. One student has the opportunity to attend an all expense paid HOBY weekend seminar. Information was handed out detailing the program and how to apply at this assembly.
- Counselors worked with seniors to ensure they had everything needed to meet the November 1st and 15th early action deadlines.
Individual senior credit letters will be mailed out today. These letters provide your student with their current credits and the number of credits remaining to graduate. Please be on the lookout for them.
Montserrat College of Art will be visiting with our students December 1st.
We have had some exciting college acceptance news! Tough decisions are ahead for our seniors! Students have been accepted to the following institutions:
- South Dakota State, Oklahoma State, Pennsylvania State, Iowa State, BSU and Western New England.
Great things are happening in WB!

A Message from Ann Marie Grinder, Food Service Director
Greetings from the MSHS Wildcat Café!
Just a reminder that both breakfast and lunch are free this school year! The WB Food Services link has more info and menus.
Each student is offered 1 free breakfast and 1 free lunch per day. Extra entrées are $2.00 and additional a la carte items such as bottled water, cookies, crackers and ice cream can also be purchased but a student must have money on their lunch account for these extras. All items served meet strict state and federal nutrition standards. Money can be added to a student’s account two ways:
· Cash or a check can be brought to the cashier at arrival or towards the end of a meal. To keep the line moving as quickly as possible, we no longer accept money in the line.
· Electronic payments using MySchoolBucks. You will need your student’s 10-digit student ID (SASID#) to set up an account. Even if you don’t add money using MySchoolBucks, it allows you to monitor cafeteria transactions until they graduate!
We are looking to hire additional cafeteria substitutes. Interested individuals can contact me at agrinder@wbridgewater.com or at (508)894-1220.
Thank you,
Ann Marie Grinder, Food Service Director
Update from Nurse Diedrichsen
A friendly reminder that all medications need to be kept in the nurse’s office. The only exception is for students in grades 9-12 who carry life saving medications such as inhalers and/or EpiPen's. All medications, even if carried with the student, need to have a medication order on file with the nurse. If you would like to authorize your student to take over the counter medications at the nurse's office you can access the STANDING ORDER MEDICATION & ANNUAL HEALTH UPDATE FORM on our Health Services page on the district website: https://www.wbridgewaterschools.org/page/health-services
