I hope these last couple weeks have been fabulous for you and your child(ren). It was an absolute joy to get to see the smiles, hear the laughs, and watch friends & peers reconnect as we began this new year. Our teachers have been working hard to prioritize building positive relationships and then setting procedures and expectations which are all the foundation of a fun and successful school year.
Updates
Student Check-In/Check-Out & Visitor Check-In - Please plan to bring your phone inside when bringing your child(ren) to school after 8:45, picking them up early, or coming to visit your child(ren). We have developed a new Student & Visitor Check-In/Check-Out process which will be done via QR Code. When you arrive to the office, please find the appropriate QR Code, scan with your camera, and enter the appropriate information. This process prioritizes confidentiality and student safety but not allowing everyone to see who is coming and/or going throughout the day while keeping the information easily accessible in the case of an emergency.
Upcoming Fundraiser - We are very excited to be kicking off our next Fundraiser in just a few weeks! Our focus this year will be Playground Safety & Accessibility Enhancements. As you can imagine, any updates to the Playground can become expensive very quickly. We hope to address the needed updates on the playground in multiple phases over the coming years. Our first area of focus will be to replace the Rubber Tiles which act as a fall guard under the Kindergarten Playset. The existing tiles have warped and are beginning to separate causing various safety concerns. If we have additional funds after this project, we will look at adding Accessible Equipment. NEW THIS YEAR we are offering Corporate Sponsorships! This is a great opportunity for a business to help fund a great project and get some advertising! Please take a moment to view the Corporate Sponsor Flyer. We are accepting Corporate Sponsors now. Our Fundraiser will officially kick off on September 22.
Morning Drop-Off - Thank you to all who drop their child(ren) off in the morning for utilizing the Drop Off Line! If you need to come inside with your child(ren) for any reason in the morning, please come through the Front Office and drop them off from there. We ask that parents no longer walk their children in to class, but instead, drop them off in the Car Rider Line or walk them into the office.
Afternoon Dismissal - THANK YOU for your patience with both Car and Bus Dismissal. Both have taken much longer than usual as we have started the year. Car Rider Dismissal will continue to become more efficient as everyone becomes more familiar with the process. When arriving to pick your student up, please be sure to pull as far forward as possible, even if you see your child at a different number. This will ensure our line continues to flow as efficiently as possible.
