FROM MRS. HUBBARD, PRINCIPAL
It certainly was a busy week at Governor Winslow School! Teachers received professional development on how to push students' writing skills to the next level. New York Times best seller author, Laura Duksta, visited her alma mater, GWS, and shared some of her wonderful books with students in kindergarten and grade 1. Our second grade students and their parent volunteers enjoyed a North and South River Watershed Program, "Water All Around You". They learned how water moves across our town, how pollution travels down our streets when it rains, how dirty water gets treated, and how to conserve water by making small changes. Most notably, our Superintendent named our legendary kindergarten teacher, Mr. Gallagher, Educator of the Week!
Have a great weekend!
