How to Install Optifine

I'm going to show you guys how to install optifine for any version of Minecraft so to start off what you're going to want to go ahead and do is make sure you at least have opened the game version of Minecraft.

Now go ahead and open up the Minecraft launcher go to the left-hand corner choose the version you want and click play. once it's loaded up it'll come up with a screen like this if you haven't seen it already which I'm sure you have and then you go ahead and just close it out, that's all you got to do this is very important that you do because optifine will not install properly.

if you don't do this all right listen this is probably the most important step out of this whole tutorial so if you don't do this you're not going to be able to install optifine, okay so what you're going to want to go ahead and do is go to your internet browser and go ahead and go to twitch.tv

For slash yo it's the gold first link in the description and makes sure you follow him that is super important that you do or this may not work for you. okay, next you're going to want to go ahead and open up a new tab and go to optifine.online

for slash downloads like so second link in the description and press enter once you're there you're going to be greeted with a page similar to this and go ahead and select the Minecraft version that you want to use in my case I'm going to be using Minecraft 16.1 but there is at 1.14 1.13 12 11.

it just goes on forever basically from like the beginning of Minecraft all right go ahead and click download for the version that you want to use in my case I'm going to be using optifine 1.16.1 HD ug2.

go ahead and click download and it'll be greeted with a page like this basically this is going to be a page with ads to support the actual optifine developers but don't click anything here what you're going to want to go ahead and do is go to the upper right-hand corner and click skip once it shows up for you.

Once you do that you'll be greeted with a page like this and you can click the download optifine 1.16 or whatever version you have click it downloads it where you want it and then we'll proceed to the next step.

all right so this next step is pretty straightforward all you got to do is go ahead and double click that file you just downloaded once you do that you'll be greeted with a page similar to this your optifine installer and all you got to do is go ahead and click install and within seconds it'll tell you that it successfully installed.

like so go ahead and click ok and then what you're going to want to go ahead and do is open up your Minecraft launcher go ahead and do is go to the lower left-hand corner and select optifine version.

in this case, this is what you just literally just installed go ahead and click that and then go ahead and click play so you're not going to be greeted with the normal Minecraft screen like usual and if you want to double-check to see if it's been installed.

all you got to do is go to the lower left-hand corner and you'll see your Minecraft version and if it says modded in parentheses or says optifine or anything like that that probably means it's installed properly and you're good to go now
