K-6 Student of the Week of April 17
7-12 Student of the Week for the April 17
Sailor Raymond is Mrs. George's Student of the Week. Sailor comes to class with a
smile on her face and a determination to do her best. She never gets involved in the
middle school drama that surrounds her. Sailor has a calm demeanor that carries
over to her classmates when she offers to help them in class. Recently, in math
class, students have been drawing scale models of candy bar wrappers. It was no
surprise that Sailor's was done perfectly! Her attention to the smallest details and
designs was incredible. Congratulations to Sailor & her parents, Jami Raymond
and Andy Raymond, on her being a role model among middle schoolers.
7-12 Student of the Week April 24, 2023
This week's Student of the Week is junior Patricia Littlejohn, daughter of David Littlejohn. She is a student in Brook Dake's Health CTE program at Newberry High School. Patricia is eager to learn new concepts and is an active participant in class discussions. She has a passion for helping others and no doubt will make a difference in the field of health. Patricia is also active in the student council and is on the robotics team. She is employed at Barker's Tiny Tots Daycare. NHS is lucky to have caring individuals like Patricia who work hard to make a positive impact on those around her. Keep up the good work Patricia!
K-6 Wacky Wednesday Schedule
Every Wednesday will be a different wacky day. If your child would like to participate, they will need to pay $1 to their teacher. The funds raised will go directly to your child’s class for field trips or classroom needs.
The following is the April schedule:
April 26: TEACHER/STUDENT FLIP DAY — Dress like a teacher and you might see your teachers dress like you!
If you have any wacky ideas to share, please contact the office at 293-3226. Thank you for your support of our kids!
