Hello You all!!!!

Hello! Last week we learned a little about time and read informational text about the life cycle of butterflies! This week we will continue to watch my caterpillars grow into painted lady butterflies. However, we will shift our learning this week to practicing time and observation to learning about money and the life cycle of sharks! It will be a great week. Please read below to get more information about the up coming weeks.

Personal Items Retrieval, Yearbooks, and Library Books

You can pick up your child's belongings on May 21st and May 22nd between 9:00 - 12:00 and 3:00 to 5:00. We will be continuing social distancing. So, we ask you to explain to your children what that means. You will not be able to come into the building. We ask that you stay in your cars and someone will assist you.

Friday, May 22 9:00-12:00 Students last name beginning with L-R
Friday, May 22 3:00-5:00 Students last name beginning with S-Z

Cookie Dough can ONLY be picked up on Thursday, May 21 from 9:00-11:30. If you need to pick up cookie dough, you may also get in line to get your personal items regardless of assigned times.

The pickup line will be in the regular car rider line. All families will remain in their car. We will call in and have your child's items delivered to your car.

Cookie Dough will be picked up in the back of the school by the black top. Once again, all families will remain in the vehicle and staff members will deliver your items.

Library books must be turned in when you come to school on May 21st or May 22nd to pick up your child's belongings. I will check students' desks when I go to pack up their things at my assigned time on May 18th. I will notify you if I find your child's library books and will turn in any books I find to the library. Please check with your child and see if he/she has their books. The cost to replace lost or damaged books is $10 per book. Please help us get all of these books returned to our library.

For those you purchased a yearbook. You can also pick up them on the same day.

ReadWorks - Reading Practice

Everyone should practice reading the assigned passages. They program does read to them or parents you can opt for your children to read it themselves. I have assigned varying leveled passages. Make sure they practice and answer the comprehension questions that go with the passages.I check these every week and have not seen much activity. Hopefully this week will be different. Work on for at least 20 minutes a day.
