End of a Great Year

We have quickly completed another school year at Ewing Young, a school year unlike any other that I have experienced, but also a year that I have enjoyed greatly. While there have been many shifts and changes along the journey, our students, staff, and community have continued to rise to the challenge.

A tradition at EY is for 5th-grade students to write a paragraph about their life aspirations. While we can not share these with everyone in person, we wanted to let our students tell you what they have planned for their future. Students were given the choice to wear their mask or to remove it since we were separated from the rest of the class. We hope you enjoy learning about what our students have planned for their future!

Farewell to Mr. Evers

Some of you might have heard the news, after 31 years in Newberg and 30 years at Ewing Young, Mr. Evers is embarking on a new adventure next year. The impact he has made on countless students, families, colleagues, and the greater Newberg community can not be stated simply. We wish him the very best and know that he will be missed by many.

Here is a message from Mr. Evers,

I will miss my current EY students, families, and staff dearly, as well as former EY alumni who I still see from time to time in the community. What makes me smile though as I leave is that I know that EY is in awesome hands with an incredibly talented, cohesive, energetic, and hardworking staff. I truly believe the future has never been brighter at EY for special, memorable, and impactful learning experiences for our students.
