5th and 6th grade Peer Leaders greeting our students!
A hug from the Homecoming Queen!
Words of advice from the Homecoming King!
WORD OF THE WEEK
Here have been our words of the week thus far in the school year:
Respect- This is one of our core expectations at Roseau Elementary as we show respect to others and ourselves.
Together- No one is alone in our school and we do this together! From our students, teachers, staff, and families, this is a team effort!
Help- Students were reminded that it is okay to ask for help and to also look out for others and help them out!
"Words Matter"- This is a reminder that we have been using with our students often. What we say to one another does matter. We can lift people up with our words or tear them down. We all should be focused on speaking positively because our words do matter!
Kindness- Another focus and constant reminder we give our students is to be kind to one another. It is a pretty simple thing to do that can make a big difference as we never know what someone may be going through.
Perseverance- This week's word is Perseverance. Students are being reminded that when they hit that rough spot, they need to keep pressing on as we ALL have our struggles. Perseverance will be needed at some point this school year, but also will be needed throughout their life!
A visit to the museum!
"We are Water MN" opportunity for our students!
THANK YOU to the Roseau County Museum for giving our kids this opportunity!
A Few Reminders for our Parents and Guardians
1) Doors open to the school at 8am and the school day is 8:30am-3:15pm!
2) If you need to meet with a teacher, be sure you schedule a time with them to come in!
3) For safety purposes, we do need you to check in and out of the office when you or your child arrives late or leaves early. Your first contact is your child's teacher, but be sure to stop by the office before you go.
4) During the day any communication with your child should be through their teacher and/or the office. Cell phones and apple watches can be a big distraction to an entire class so we want to curb this right away. If you have any questions with this, please give Mr. Lingen a call or stop by and visit with him!
5) K-6 graders who are not riding the bus who are coming in on the North end should be using the MAIN ELEMENTARY ENTRANCE on the North end.
American Indian Parent Advisory Committee (AIPAC)
Our next "AIPAC" meeting will be on Tuesday, November 14th in the school cafeteria at 6:30pm.
Any questions? Contact Mr. Lingen in the Elementary office or send him an email.
