Middleton Families,

I can't believe we are already headed into Thanksgiving break. This week we held an assembly to celebrate meeting our Fun Run fundraising goal. A representative was chosen at random from each class to participate and I was doused in ice cream, syrup, whipped cream, sprinkles, and cherries. Needless to say, the kids had a great time! Thank you to everyone who supported our Fun Run and made it a huge success. The funds generated allow us to provide an exemplary educational experience for our students and we are so grateful. I hope you all enjoy some extra time together next week and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Middleton has partnered with Sherwood 4Kids Sake and the Sherwood Elks club to bring gifts to our local Sherwood families in need. We have 100 tags ready for pick-up. If you would like to participate you can sign out a tag in front of our school 30 minutes before the start of school and 30 minutes after school. If you are unable to make it at these times, you can come into the office during the day to check out a tag. An adult must be present to receive a tag. Each Sherwood 4Kids Sake (S4KS) tag will list an individual’s need with specific gift choices. You are also welcome to bring in an unwrapped toy, coat, and pajamas for the Sherwood Elks Club to distribute over the holiday season.

All donations need to be brought back to Middleton no later than December 8th. We will have a bin located inside the front lobby for drop off. S4KS tags need to be firmly attached to the package when returned and all gifts for both S4ks and The Sherwood Elks club need to be returned unwrapped.

Volunteering- There are many opportunities to volunteer at Middleton. All volunteers will need to a) complete a background check. A new background check must be completed for each school year.
  • Background checks are completed online: Background Check Forms. Background checks may take up to 10 days to process.
  • The state of Oregon no longer requires COVID vaccinations for PK-12 school volunteers.


PAC- Our parent volunteer group is a very important part of our school. We are in need of several volunteers to support upcoming events. If you are interested, reach out to middletonpacboard@gmail.com to learn more about how to get involved.
