This Week at SHOJ
We Are ONE
From Mrs. Rhodes
Welcome back Cardinals! What a joy to welcome families back to the building. The teachers have been working hard and are more excited than you know to teach in person. Thanks to those who participated in our half day orientations. We learned a lot and hope everyone feels more comfortable with routines at school. Please feel free to reach out with any concerns or questions - we are one!
Our morning announcement prayer says, "We are one family united by The Sacred Heart of Jesus. We are on body, helping each other prepare our minds for the future and souls for eternity. We are one spirit for Your kingdom here on earth and forever in heaven. Amen." We are One is a great theme for this year as we navigate the changes required by the pandemic. We are called to do many things differently, but we are all doing it together. At the Holy Hour for the school, I read a prayer by St. Therese of Lisieux that talked about her little way. She did little things with great love. It occurred to me that even though we may not have the big things we did in the past, that there will be little things that we can do. These little things may give us the same joy.
After School Care
From the Nurse
Welcome back Cardinals. We have done many things to make Sacred Heart a healthy place and you are helping my wearing your mask, social distancing and washing your hands. Parents please assess your child/ren daily and keep them home if they have any of the following symptoms:
- cough or shortness of breath
- head or body aches
- sore throat or congestion
- nausea/vomiting/diarrhea
- loss of taste or smell
Please know that healthy Cardinals are a priority. If you have any questions, please reach out to me.
