Veterans Day Program:
We will be hosting a Veterans Day program on Friday, November 10th @ 8:30 a.m. Our 4th-grade students will be performing for this event. Mrs. Epple has been working hard with the students to prepare for this event. We are excited to honor those who have and still are serving our country. We are inviting our 4th-grade parents and veterans to come and enjoy our program. Please arrive on Friday before 8:30. You will check in at the A1 door, which is west of the flag pole door. Veterans Day will be a red/white/blue theme day. So students are encouraged to dress in these colors!
Attendance:
Congratulations to our 3rd grade. They had the most improved attendance for the first grading period. They have earned a popcorn party next week. Great job 3rd grade!!! We want everyone to keep working hard to improve our school's attendance. Our school goal is 96%.
Pantry Pals Food Pantry Fundraiser:
Parents we are beginning our fundraiser to begin raising money to help support the Shelby County Pantry Pals. We will have a few events to help with this initiative. Please see below.
PIE THE GUY -Students will have the opportunity to vote for the "guy" they would like to pie at school. Pie the Guy tickets will be sold for $1.00 each. For each dollar students bring in, they will be given a ticket to put their name in the Pantry Pal Bucket of the teacher they would like to be get a pie in the face. In December tickets will be be pulled and 12 students will have the chance to Pie the Guy. Tickets will be sold from Nov. 6-17 in their classrooms. Meet our Pie the Guy nominees!!!!

Hoops 2 Help-On November 20 at the Coulston Girls basketball games, all proceeds from the games will be donated to Shelby County Pantry Pals Fundraiser. Thanks in advance for helping Coulston support this community event.
Midterms
Midterms will be on November 17th. This is a reminder that midterms will not be sent home; instead, parents need to check PowerSchool to see the grades. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher.
Thanksgiving Break
It is hard to believe we are talking about Thanksgiving!!! Please remember that Thanksgiving Break will be from November 22-24. There will not be any school on these days!!
Cell Phones:
Parents we need your help!!! This is just a reminder that students are NOT to have cell phones out in school or on the buses. Please make sure you remind your child about the cell phone policy. We are having issues with students and the appropriate use of the cell phone. Please know in advance if the cell policy is not followed, the cell phone will be put in the front office for the parent to pick it up. Thank you in advance for your help with this issue.

Programa del Día de los Veteranos:
Organizaremos un programa del Día de los Veteranos el viernes 10 de noviembre a las 8:30 am. Nuestros estudiantes de 4to grado se presentarán para este evento. La Sra. Epple ha estado trabajando duro con los estudiantes para prepararse para este evento. Estamos entusiasmados de honrar a quienes han servido y siguen sirviendo a nuestro país. Estamos invitando a nuestros padres de cuarto grado y veteranos a venir y disfrutar de nuestro programa. Por favor llegue el viernes antes de las 8:30. Te registrarás en la puerta A1, que está al oeste de la puerta del asta de la bandera. El Día de los Veteranos será un día temático rojo/blanco/azul. ¡Así que se anima a los estudiantes a vestirse con estos colores!
Asistencia
Felicitaciones a nuestro 3er grado. Tuvieron la mayor asistencia mejorada durante el primer período de calificaciones. Se han ganado una fiesta de palomitas la semana que viene. ¡¡¡Buen trabajo 3er grado!!! Queremos que todos sigan trabajando duro para mejorar la asistencia a nuestra escuela.Nuestra meta escolar es 96%.
Recaudación de fondos para la despensa de alimentos de Pantry Pals
Padres, estamos comenzando nuestra recaudación de fondos para comenzar a recaudar dinero para ayudar a apoyar a Shelby County Pantry Pals. Tendremos algunos eventos para ayudar con esta iniciativa. Por favor ver más abajo.
PIE EL TIPO -Los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de votar por el "chico" que les gustaría hacer pastel en la escuela. Los boletos para Pie the Guy se venderán por $1.00 cada uno. Por cada dólar que los estudiantes traigan, se les dará un boleto para que pongan su nombre en el Pantry Pal Bucket del maestro al que les gustaría que les diera un pastel en la cara. exámenes parciales
Los exámenes parciales serán el 17 de noviembre. Este es un recordatorio de que los exámenes parciales no se enviarán a casa; en cambio, los padres deben consultar PowerSchool para ver las calificaciones. Si tiene alguna pregunta, comuníquese con el maestro de su hijo.
Feriado de Día de Gracias
¡¡¡Es difícil creer que estemos hablando del Día de Acción de Gracias!!! Recuerde que las vacaciones de Acción de Gracias serán del 22 al 24 de noviembre. ¡¡No habrá clases estos días!!
Celulares:
Padres necesitamos su ayuda!!! Esto es sólo un recordatorio de que los estudiantes NO deben tener teléfonos celulares en la escuela o en los autobuses. Asegúrese de recordarle a su hijo la política de telefonía celular. Estamos teniendo problemas con los estudiantes y el uso apropiado del teléfono celular. Por favor sepa con anticipación si no se sigue la política de telefonía celular, el teléfono celular se colocará en la oficina principal para que los padres lo recojan. Gracias de antemano por su ayuda con este problema.
Una nota de la Sra. Reed- Si necesita asistencia navideña, complete el siguiente formulario. También puedes comunicarte con el Ejército de Salvación, ya que también cuentan con asistencia para la temporada navideña. Comuníquese con la Sra. Reed si tiene alguna pregunta.
