The Cub Corner – This is the Lions Club's online reading program. ADK, Lion members and special guests read Christmas stories that were uploaded to the Lions YouTube Channel. These stories are available for everyone’s enjoyment on their website & YouTube Channel.

Altruistic Projects
Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank (UPDATED)
***In December sisters decided to send the amount we usually spend for the Christmas Auction to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. A total of $220 was donated, and according to the food bank that bought 660 meals. ***
Super Sister Award 2020-2021
Activities:
-one violet awarded for responding to the rsvp for each meeting
-one violet awarded for each meeting you wear the badge to
-one violet awarded for wearing pearls or ADK colors to a meeting/event
-one violet awarded for posting on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter (send screen shot to Stacey)
-one violet awarded for posting on state Facebook page (send screen shot to Stacey)
-five violets awarded for attendance at each meeting
-five violets awarded for doing something for ADK month in Oct. (treats to a school, etc.)
-five violets awarded for submitting an ADK grant
-five violets awarded for winning an ADK grant
-five violets awarded for hosting a meeting
-five violets awarded for doing an extracurricular activity at school/community outreach (retired members)
-five violets for winning a school, district, or state Award
-ten violets awarded for each prospective member brought to a meeting (Only those eligible to join will count for points.)
-other violet worthy activities may be added as the occasions arise

Proposed Meeting Schedule (UPDATED)
Some suggestions submitted for meeting ideas include an outdoor meeting at Jeanie's, a heart health awareness meeting in Feb., something to support small businesses, yoga, craft, healthy week night meal ideas with a chef or dietitian, Lions Club speaker, and improving personal appearance on a budget. We will discuss these great ideas during our planning meeting. If you can arrange one of these or have a lead on someone that could be a guest presenter, let Stacey know.
January 11 - quick and healthy meals featuring a guest speaker - Dietician Savanna Latimer
February 8 - heart health awareness and Tea and Treasures (rescheduled from November)
March 8 - Pam's dad on a gardening topic ???
