Floats

The theme for the floats: “Harry Potter”

Senior Info./ Float Meetings

Senior float meetings are on Sundays, 5-7pm at Brady Devereaux's house. Attending these meetings along with riding/walking in the parade will earn you the chance to be put in a drawing for a $25 gift card.

Candy donations are also needed. You can drop candy off in the HS office.

All seniors please check your email for an important message.

Junior Float Meetings/Homecoming Dance

We are looking for helpers to finish the homecoming float. We have one meeting left. It will be held at Noelle Kenny's house on Saturday, Oct. 5th from 1 pm - 5 pm The address is 17110 Cadet Lane, Hemlock. This meeting will take the place of the original meeting that was scheduled for the 6th.

We are also looking for Juniors to participate in walking in the parade. You will need to dress as a wizard. As you know, we have the Ravenclaw House, so you could even dress as a movie/book character from the Ravenclaw House if you would like.

Finally donations are needed for both the parade and the dance.

Candy is needed for the parade. Please deliver any donations to one of your class officers before Thursday Oct. 10th.

Dessert items and bottled water are needed for the dance. (Harry Potter themed if possible, but not necessary) These items may be dropped off in the office on Thursday Oct. 11th or Friday Oct. 12th before 3pm. Due to students with severe allergies, please be sure that any donated items for the dance do NOT contain any peanuts of any form in them.

Sophomore Float Meetings

Everyone is welcome!

Sophomore Float Building Location is: 550 N. Hemlock Rd.

Float Decorating Schedule:

Sunday, October 6th - 10:00 a.m. (until finished)

Freshmen Float Meetings

Everyone is encouraged to help with the Freshmen float. We will be working on the float at 12411 Frost Rd.

Monday, October 7th - No School. We will work on finishing touches if needed. Check your email for more information.

Please bring in candy, before for the Homecoming Parade October, 11th.

Dance Tickets

Tickets are now on sale for the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 12th. The dance is held in the high school gym 7-10pm. Tickets are $15 a piece. If you plan on bringing a guest from another school or graduate, a guest form must be filled out and returned to the office by Wednesday, October 9th.

King & Queen Announcement Assembly - Thursday (10/10)

Thursday, October 10th

For the high school assembly, we will have the middle school here for the announcement of the King and Queen. Court members, band, and pom pon members will be dismissed at 1:50pm. The band will lead the students to the gym (approx. 2:10pm). Students/teachers should wait until the band passes their door and then follow behind.

2019 Homecoming Parade Route

We have been fortunate enough to receive permission to have our parade go down M-46, so we have updated our route to reflect the change. We plan on this being the route for many years to come.

We need Homecoming Parade Participants

Are you interested in being in our homecoming parade or know someone who is? Companies, businesses, tractors, etc. are welcome. Please have them contact Student Council Adviser, Mrs. Allison Strachota - strachota@hemlockps.com. There is NO fee to be in our parade. The theme this year is "Harry Potter" but you do not have to decorate with the theme to participate in the parade.
