Peek of the Week
Paw Print Vol 13
Principal's Updates
Maple Families,
Only a little more than 1 week to go before winter break and we still have a lot of learning and fun in store at Maple Elementary.
This week will be a casual week for students with optional holiday dress each day. Please see below for dress options.
We will continue with our 10 Nights of Holiday Cheer Read-alouds on Google Meet. Join us in your pajamas for a bedtime read aloud every night at 7:00 on meet.google.com with the code mescheer (prek - 2) or mescheer2 (on Dec. 13th for a special reading in Spanish). See below for the books that will be read each night.
On Thursday, December 14th, we will have a House Celebration! Students will find out which House is currently in the lead with the most Paw Points. Students should wear House colors from head to toe. Bonus Paw Points will be given for House spirit. On Friday, December 15th, everyone will celebrate the winning House by wearing that House color to school.
Finally, we are really looking forward to our Cookies and Cocoa with Santa event on Friday, December 15th, from 5:30 - 7:00. We cannot wait to see everyone who has RSVP'd.
If you have any questions, please reach out.

Arrival/ Dismissal Procedures
Please make sure you contact your child's teacher to let him/her know how your child will normally be coming home from school this school year - pick up or bus rider. If there is a change, please contact the school or write a note to your child's teacher notifying them of the change. Due to safety concerns, we can not simply take your child's word.
All parents/guardians should enter in the first entrance to Maple. For parents that arrive early, the line should begin near the gravel parking lot so that teachers can access the parking spots in the parking lot. At 8:00 the line of cars may pull up to the front doors of the school for students to enter the building. 8:00 is the earliest children may be dropped off at school. All students should be at school by 8:20 when instruction officially begins each morning.
Dismissal begins at 3:05 each day. If you need to pick your child up early from school, you must pick your child up before 2:45 pm. After 2:45 pm, no students will be dismissed early from the office and parents will need to wait in the regular pick up line. All students must be picked up by 3:20 pm.
If you have any questions regarding buses, please contact the Transportation Department at 410-228-4747. Students will have an assigned bus. Bus changes will not be honored this year.
