#BISDProud!
Fernanda Torres has worked for Bastrop ISD since 2000, first as a custodian, then as a paraprofessional and now as a first grade classroom teacher at Bluebonnet Elementary. Join us as she shares her inspirational story and makes us all #BISDProud!
The City of Bastrop invites students who are currently in grades 8, 9, 10 and 11 to apply for a seat on the Bastrop Youth Advisory Council. Students must reside in the BISD boundaries, have a 3.0 GPA (or middle school equivalent). Several seats are open for the new term (which begins this summer). The Bastrop YAC helps to provide input to the mayor and city council on issues important to teens in our community. Download your application here: https://bit.ly/3KXKYpM Applications are due April 26 and can be emailed to Dr. Kristi Lee at klee@bisdtx.org or delivered to the BISD Service Center at 906 Farm Street.
