Manufacturing jobs pay well. In fact, average annual wages for workers in manufacturing in Minnesota are $76,950, 10% higher than across all industries in Minnesota. Plus, many manufacturing positions offer opportunities for advancement on a promising career path.

Coats for Kids Drive at BHS
Business Professionals of America (BPA) members are in their last week of collecting coats for the 30th annual Coats for Kids drive through October 21. Students, staff, and community residents are invited to drop off new or used coats at BHS throughout the school day at the main entrance.
Bring your coats into the field house on Tuesday, October 17 and stay to cheer on your Bengal volleyball team! We will also have boxes out during the Swim and Dive Craft Fair on Saturday, October 21. Drop boxes are located by the Bengal Den doors. Thank you in advance for all of your donations!
Thank you to NorthMetro TV for doing a story on this drive! Randy Hemstad, retired Blaine Business Teacher who started the partnership with Pilgrim Cleaners, was interviewed along with students. Read the story and watch the video here!

Blaine Seniors Speak at MBITE Fall Conference
Senior CEMS student and MN Business Professionals of America (BPA) President, Dorcas Aroloye, was a guest speaker at the Minnesota Marketing, Business, Information Technology Educators (MBITE) Fall Conference held on October 6.
Dorcas was a part of a panel that included Amelia Bjerketvedt, MN DECA President from North Branch High School, and Jackie Schiller, the Executive Director for MN BPA and MN DECA. Together they shared ideas of how advisors can grow their programs and keep their members motivated throughout the year. They also spoke about the importance of CTSO’s and how using social media to connect with members on another level will benefit their chapters.
When asked about her time at the conference, Dorcas said, "The conference was an amazing experience to talk about what BPA has done for me and the impact it has for our communities. Being with advisors, the MN BPA Director, and the DECA President was an amazing environment to hear from everyone's perspective."
Minnesota MBITE, the professional organization for Marketing Business Information Technology Educators, is a statewide professional learning community for all business educators including areas of marketing, accounting, information technology, graphic design, and college and career readiness. New Staff
Elli Carver
My name is Elli Carver, and I am so excited to join this BHS family. This is my first year teaching and I will be teaching Earth and Space Science. I graduated from Coon Rapids High School in 2018 and from UW-Eau Claire in December of 2022. When I’m not in school, I love to run (I ran my first half marathon this summer), read, and enjoy time with friends and family. A huge passion of mine is traveling; this year alone I have traveled to Arizona, Las Vegas, and Florida. I can’t wait to get this school year started and meet all my students and families!
Chelsey Knealing
My name is Chelsey Knealing, and I am proud to join the art department at Blaine this year.
Prior to this, I taught art in Monticello for 6 years, Adams Elementary in Coon Rapids for 1 year, and Northdale Middle School in Coon Rapids for 6 years. My time at Northdale has given me the opportunity to get to know many students and families that I will continue to work with here at Blaine, and I look forward to it! I am a graduate of Blaine High school myself, and continue to love the community that it serves. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband Charles and I have 3 children (Rylan 10, Annika 7, and Adeline 5). We travel as much as we can find time for, lived in the UK from 2018 until 2020, and love anything outdoors!
