Principal's Corner
Can you believe that we are almost done with the first half of the school year? Time sure does fly by when you're having fun! That's exactly what we're doing every day here at CES: we have fun and get work done! I want to extend a "thank you!" to the families who were able to attend our Parent-Teacher Conferences! Supporting your student through their foundational education is crucial for setting them up for future success! Please feel free to continue those conversations throughout the school year, and let me know how I can support you or your student!
It's getting colder (sigh!); please remember to send your student with a jacket, hat, gloves, etc. to ensure their comfort throughout the day. All students are expected to participate in outdoor recess unless there is inclement weather. Please label/mark these items so that we can get missing items back to their owners. If you have additional items that you no longer need or would like to donate to our "borrow room", please send washed items to the main office! Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Happy Holiday's Little Eagle Families!
As we enter into the busy season of holiday gatherings, traditions and fun remember to leave room for downtime. Just as adults, children need time to reset now and then. Sometimes the holiday's can become overwhelming, as resilient as they are, children need us as the adults to help protect their boundaries and show understanding when things becoming to stimulating. Give you, and your family grace and build in those reset days as a family, and even one on one time with your little ones.

Happy December and Happy Holidays!
The most anticipated holiday of the year for most children is finally here. This next month will most likely be filled with holiday parties, family gatherings, lots of treats, and family traditions. I hope you are able to soak in all the big and little moments with your littles while remembering the importance of staying safe and healthy this holiday season!
Safe Toys and Gifts Month:
It's the holiday season and that means toy-sharing and gift-giving are in full swing. But before you give a child a new toy, it is important to stop and consider:
- 1. Check toys before purchasing
- Look for sharp points, edges, and parts that can fly off. Also check for durability. Do not give toys with ropes, cords, or heating elements. Make sure crayons and markers are labeled "non-toxic." NEVER give small toys with removeable magnets or button batteries. These can cause serious injury if ingested.
- 2. Make sure the toy is age-appropriate
- Not every toy is meant for every child. Keep in mind the child's age and developmental level. If shopping for infants or children with special needs, look for toys that appeal to the senses. Remember this rule: If the piece can fit inside of a toilet paper role, it is not meant for children under 3 years of age.
- 3. Spread the word
- Share your knowledge about unsafe toys with fellow parents, grandparents, babysitters, etc.
Why Safe Toys and Gifts Month is Important?
- It alerts us to chocking hazards
- It emphasizes child supervision
- We're more likely to pay attention
Friendly Reminders!

Attendance Matters!
Showing up to school greatly impacts a student's academic success. Families play a crucial role in ensuring that a student gets to school safely and on time daily. We understand that absences are unavoidable, such as illness or medical appointments. Please call in advance if your child will not be in school.
