Principal’s Message

Below are a few reminders regarding attendance and our schedule.

Attendance Line

When your child is going to be absent please call the school to let us know. You can call our attendance line at 503-554-4496 to leave a message.

Wednesday Late Openings

A reminder that each Wednesday is a late opening. Buses run one hour later, and school begins one hour later each Wednesday.

Parent Contact Information

We utilize a system called Blackboard to facilitate phone calls, emails, and text messages to our families. It is important that we have your current contact information on file. If you find that your address, phone number, or email have changed, please be sure to contact the school office at 503-544-4450

27-29 – Thanksgiving Break – NO SCHOOL

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be scheduled Wednesday evening, October 23rd through Friday, October 25th. School will not be in session on October 24 and 25.

Mabel Rush is using School Appointments.com, an online conference scheduling program. Parents will appreciate the ease of scheduling multiple students at their convenience. Instructions for registering and scheduling will be sent home soon. The office is still available to help parents schedule conferences by phone or in person. www.SchoolAppointments.com

A reminder that Lion Walk pledges are due on Monday, October 14. Also we would like to acknowledge all of the adults that helped during Lion Walk. It was great to see so many people on hand to support our students. Special thanks to our Lion Walk organizing committee for all of their hard work making the walk a success!

We have added a rack to our Lost and Found area. Next time you are in the building, please check for any of your child’s lost items.

Our first parent coffee of the year will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 between 8:30-9:30 in the school library. This will be an opportunity to come and meet other parents and talk with the principal. A Spanish language translator will be on hand.
