Professional Learning Opportunities

All 187-day professional staff are required to complete the professional learning credit requirements by May 15. Please keep in mind that these credits must be earned outside of the regular school day.

The table below details the number of required PD credits that 187-day professional staff are required to earn based on employee start date. Please refer to your PD agreement for specific requirements.

The courses listed below do not require prior administrator approval.

Earn 1 Required PD credit for each Google Classroom course you complete.

Hoonuit offers courses on a variety of educational topics. Credits vary by course. Use your district email and password to log in and complete the LearnIt, DoIt, ShareIt, and ProveIt activities. You must earn a minimum of 80% on the ProveIt assessment to receive credit.

Attend live webinars or view recordings on topics that matter to you! Once you have completed course requirements, email certificates with time and date completed to Mickie Cox at mcox@irvingisd.net.

Create a log-in with the region center if you don’t already have one. You can search the catalog for web-based sessions and sort the list for those that are free. Reimbursement is not provided for sessions with a fee. Credits vary by course.

Once you have completed a course, email a copy of the certificate of completion along with the time and date completed to Mickie Cox at mcox@irvingisd.net.
