Larsen Families,
It's hard to believe we are reaching the 100th day of school. Our students, staff and community have made tremendous growth in these first 100 days and a lot more to come. We enjoy having you join us for all school activities. This month of February, although short, it's a busy one. Please take a minute to see important dates and don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.
Please remember, at no time is it acceptable to send students to school when they're experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, especially if they have received a positive test result (laboratory-based or at-home test). Please be sure to report all positive COVID-19 cases to your student's school.

Attendance Matters
Please make sure your child is present and on time every day. The first bell rings at 8:00 AM and the second bell at 8:07 AM. Students are tardy after 8:07 AM . Please help by making sure your child is on time.
If your child is absent, please call our office at 805-986-8740 to report your absence. Bring any doctor's notes or necessary documentation to excuse any absences to the school office.

Come support our Larsen Family Fundraiser Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 3:30 - 9:00 PM. They will donate 20% of all sales. Just bring copy or photo of the flyer.
Black History Month
Black History Month is an annual observance originating in the United States, where it is also known as African-American History Month. It has received official recognition from governments in the United States and Canada, and more recently has been observed in Ireland and the United Kingdom. It began as a way of remembering important people and events in the history of the African diaspora. It is celebrated in February in the United States and Canada.
Counselors Appreciation Week
Larsen Families, we are celebrating our amazing counselor, Mrs. Rodriguez! We appreciate all she’s done to support our community members, students and staff through challenging times. She helps us grow every day and motivates us to always do our best.

Larsen Uniform Policy
Gentle reminder: Please wear your school uniform daily.
Nothing that distracts from the learning environment is allowed.

Safety First
Please remember the safety of our students is our first priority. We need your help!
The roundabout is a drop off/pick up zone only. You should never get out of your vehicle to walk students in the roundabout. If you need to assist your child, please park and walk your child in.
The roundabout is a single car ONLY. Drivers may never pass on the left to get out of the roundabout. Drivers must exit and drive back in.
Please make sure to follow all traffic rules.
Don't block neighborhood driveways or double park. It is not SAFE for our students.
Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Project at Larsen.
Our school will be getting air conditioning and updated heating systems in all classrooms. This project will be done in phases until done We are approaching the completion of Phase 1 and will be starting Phase 2 next week.
As we go through the phases we will need to relocate classes as needed to allow the construction. Please talk to your student and continue to reassure them that their learning experience will continue to be the best every single day.
