Walker Career Center weekly update - March 19, 2021
Boogity Boogity Boogity, Let's Go Racing
The Auto Collision team is continuing to work on the show car and hope to have it all finished up to show off in the month of May. This week they were able to begin putting some character to the body with some golden striping. Students collaborated to come up with a design that they liked and were able to tape it off and came up with an impressive product.
JAG 2021 Career Development Conference
On March 17th 2021 JAG (Jobs for America's Graduates celebrated its Tenth Annual Marion County JAG Regional Career Development Conference! This event is an opportunity for Marion County JAG students to demonstrate their employability skills and earn financial awards to support them in their academic and career goals. JAG students participate in competitions and workshops to provide a vehicle for recognition and achievement.
JAG Warren Central HS had five participants that represented Warren Central with class, honor and professionalism. JAG Warren Central would like to highlight the following students; John Diaz , 22' (1st place winner - Creative Solutions) Dairon Jones, 21' (2nd round finalist Writing Skills) Nakyla Johnson, 21' (2nd round finalist - Critical Thinking) Kamri Kyner, 21' (2nd round finalist Employability Skills) and Jade Tien, 22' (2nd Place Winner of Financial Literacy) All 1st place winners move onto State finals. Date TBD. Congratulations to all of our Warren Central JAG students on a job well done!
