March 1st Announcement
Dear OLMP Parents,
On March 1st, the government of Alberta will lift many of the COVID restrictions throughout the province, continuing the process that began a few weeks ago. For OLMP Catholic School this will mean the following:
Adults in schools will not be required to wear masks, though they are welcome to do so. This applies to staff and parent volunteers.
Schools will begin the process of re-integrating classes beyond cohorts. This will mean the return to school assemblies, parents in school, in person school functions, spectators at school events, field trips that intermingle with the public etc. OLMP will keep you well informed of upcoming school events as we move forward.
It has been a long two years of varied levels of restrictions. The next month or two will represent a time of transition to what we all hope is a return to normal. In order to assist during this time to keep our schools as safe as possible for all, we ask that you continue to monitor your children each day for symptoms, and keep them home when sick. Isolation requirements for those who are sick and those who test positive are still in place and represent an important tool to support each other.
We want to thank our parent community, all staff, and our students for your patience and cooperation over the course of these challenging times.
God Bless,
OLMP Administration

Get Involved: Minister’s Youth Council Recruitment
The education ministry is looking to attract approximately 40 junior and senior high school students between the ages of 14 and 19 with diverse interests, identities, backgrounds, and perspectives.
Participation in the council will give students the opportunity to have a voice in Alberta’s education system, build leadership skills, and leave a legacy for future students. It also looks great on scholarship applications! The deadline for students to apply is March 25, 2022
