November 2023
New in November
As the weather cools down, we've begun prepping the gardens for winter. We've also started our Farm to School lessons at Courtade and Buckley. We will begin our SNAP-Ed (nutrition) lessons at Buckley and Northport this month.
November's Harvest of the Month is winter squash. Click the photo to learn more about winter squash, including information about different types, how to prepare them, and a recipe to try!

The Pop-Up Farmers Market was a success, a few teachers turned their market purchases into applesauce and stone soup! Farm to School lessons kicked off with plant parts and food miles. Students enjoyed eating a "whole plant" and garden greens pesto.
