Mill Valley Weekly
August 27th, 2020
Hello Mill Valley Families,
It has been such a joy seeing so many of you in the school, dropping off your supplies and seeing your smiling eyes!
UPDATE...
End of the day parent pick up procedures have a slight change. Please review the new map before the first day of school. Upon entering the parking lot, (southern most driveway), you will now turn right into the first parking lot which was for buses only. We will use this lot to form two lines which will merge again prior to being greeted by the teacher on duty. The change of forming two lines will help us to avoid backup on Hillendale. The remaining components of the procedure are the same. Of course, the first few days will be a learning opportunity for all, and we appreciate your patience as we perfect this new process.
Sincerely,
Robin Schrot, Principal
Allyce Harris, Associate Principal

Welcome Back to Mill Valley from PTO!
Throughout the year Mill Valley’s PTO hosts family friendly events to acclimate our students and families to Mill Valley. In doing so, we hope that families will feel comfortable in participating and form lasting relationships to make these school days a little bit easier. During these unknown times, we ask that when participating in PTO events, all family members wear masks and practice social distancing. Thank you and we look forward to making it another great year!
Chalk The Walk- Sunday, August 30th & Monday, August 31st
Let’s “Chalk the Walk!” We invite all MV families to join us on Sunday, August 30th or Monday, August 31st to fill MV’s blacktop/sidewalks with some color! Our goal is to cover the grounds with positive, inspirational, and colorful words and drawings to brighten up our students and staff on the first day back to school. Please bring your masks and creativity and be ready to chalk. PTO will supply some chalk (until it’s gone) but we highly encourage you to bring your own chalk along. You can stop by anytime on Sunday or Monday to Chalk the Walk!
Coffee & Kleenex- Tuesday, September 1st @ 9:15AM
As parents, we know the first day of school can be tough for our children, but it can also be equally as hard for us parents. We want you to know, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Therefore, we invite you to join us on the first day of school, Tuesday, September 1st at 9:15AM (after drop-off) at Vintage Grounds on Janesville Rd. in Muskego. Here you will be able to drown your sorrows (or joyous tears) away with other parents in the same position. Feel free to bring younger siblings as we will have coloring activities to keep them busy while you enjoy your coffee and mingling.
We plan to reserve some outside tables (weather permitting) to practice safe social distancing and we ask that you please wear your mask.
