Arrival/Dismissal Procedures
- During arrival and dismissal, there are many students, staff, and parents moving around the campus. It is easy to be in a hurry, but please drive with caution.
- Please do not use the bus lane in front of the school during morning arrival, 8:00 am - 8:45, and dismissal, 2:45 - 3:45. This helps ensure safety for everyone
- Have your parent pick-up scan card out and ready to be scanned.
- If there are any changes to dismissal plans, please contact the teacher and front office.
- Expect buses to be running behind as they learn their routes.
- Lindbergh Schools now uses the FirstView app to communicate bus information with families in real time, including pickup and drop-off times, and any delays or notifications. Please download the FirstView app on the Google Play or Apple store, or if you do not have access to a smartphone, you can access the desktop portal here. If you have questions or need technical support regarding the FirstView app, please call 888-889-8920 or email support@firstviewapp.com
- When loading during parent pick-up, please stay in your car. This is for everyone's safety.

Technology Impact Study
Lindbergh Schools is conducting a districtwide Technology Impact Study this year to evaluate how providing individual students with iPads and Chromebooks can impact instruction. As part of the study, select teachers in each Lindbergh school are integrating Apple iPads and Google Chromebooks into their lessons. These teachers will provide feedback for future planning as we look ahead to a future with blended learning and technology integration districtwide. At Dressel, 2 4th grade teachers will be providing individual devices to their students within the classroom this year. With these devices, they will implement strong instructional practices that use technology to enhance student collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and communication.

Reading Screening Notification
Lindbergh teachers and instructional staff are dedicated to providing an individualized approach to reading that helps all students succeed and grow in their skills. Students in grades K-3 will complete reading screening tests provided by Fastbridge Learning, in addition to other district-selected assessments. These reading screeners help our educators identify areas of reading difficulty for individual students. All students in kindergarten through third grade will be screened during the 2019-20 school year by their classroom teacher and/or reading intervention teacher.
If your student is in fourth or fifth grade, and you would like to refer your student for a reading screening assessment, please contact the building to make a request. Click here to contact your student’s school building representative.
Photo ID Now Required for All School Visitors
Lindbergh Schools is taking an important step toward keeping all students safe by implementing a new visitor identification system this fall. All family members, visitors, guests, contractors and volunteers will be required to show a state issued photo ID when they enter any Lindbergh school or building. Please remember to bring your photo ID anytime you visit our school.
This new system allows us to know who is in our building at all times. It also checks visitors against the national sex offender registry. We understand this may cause some brief inconvenience for guests when visiting our schools, but the time it takes to show ID and receive a visitor badge should be about the same as signing in on existing paper or computer logs. Working together, we can meet our goal to keep our schools safe, and protect students and staff.
