Principal Weekly Update

Welcome Back Ram Fam!

We are excited to see all of our students return to the building. We had a great first week and can't wait to get back in mid-year stride. Sr, Jr, and Soph classes all sat through the student expectation assemblies last week. Freshman students will do so later in the week.

If you have a child who is a Jr or Sr, please speak with them about having an off campus pass. Students must have this pass in order to leave campus. Also remind them of what it means to be a responsible student when leaving campus.

Tardies start on Monday 9/5/23! Students need to be in all classes on time.

Breakfast & Lunch:

• Beginning with the 2023-24 school year, full-paid breakfast will be $1.75 and lunch will be $3.50. Families still need to complete the 2023-24 meal benefits application, which will be available online at www.MySchoolApps.com. Paper copies will be available for pick up at the school office. For families who completed the 2022-23 meal benefits application, the eligibility benefit will be effective for their student's first 30 school days of the 2023-2024 school year.

Schedule Changes

• As mentioned in previous messages, students must have requested schedule changes electronically through their school account.
• The last day for request was 9/30/23.

WCPSS Parent Workshops:

• The Office of Equity Affairs is excited to announce that the Family Academy Program will be hosting a series of parent workshops for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to select your preferred workshops from our Topic Selection Guide as soon as possible. If you are interested in scheduling a workshop, kindly send your request to familyacademy@wcpss.net.

Game/Athletics:

1. Students and spectators must sit in the stands during the game. While there will be potential gatherings at halftime and postgame, large gatherings will not be allowed during the game.

2. There will be no re-entry and spectators will not be admitted free during the second half of the contest.

3. As normal, Backpacks and smoking (vapes as well) will not be allowed.

4. Inappropriate and unruly behavior will be removed from the game and may result in suspension from school events.

5. No refund for being removed for various violations

To ensure the safety of our families and the efficiency of the flow of traffic we have made an update with our carpool procedures. Please see the picture for the changes in the carpool traffic flow. The carpool route from Quarry Road (orange line) will not open until 7:00. Student arriving after 7:15 must enter through the front entrance (red line).
