I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. It was a busy week at PS 88Q, so a well deserved weekend is definitely in order. Happy Fathers Day to all of our dads, grandfathers, godfathers, and uncles.
This week, we didn't let a little rain ruin our fun! Mr. E. returned for one more day with us! All of our students had the opportunity to see the other grades. What an amazing vibe in the gym! The cheering for each other, the excitement and the gratitude was palpable. Below is a video (part 2 of a series Mr. Canales has created) that all of us had some fun being part of. Give it a look, and you will see some of your PS 88Q favorites having fun with dance! Art, music, dance and theater are very much alive at PS 88Q.
We also had a wonderful turnout for our in person PTA meeting! Thank you all who came. Next year we will be continuing this program of highlighting our students through performance (music, theater, dance, science/stem fair/art) as well as a child activity to increase attendance. It was great all being together!
Our 3K, PreK and kindergarten students all Stepped Up this week too! What a wonderful culmination of learning. They are all on their way to their next chapter!
We ended our week with the return of our Disney Productions. What a wonderful evening watching our talented students take the stage for Frozen. Our actors, set designers, and camera crew worked so hard for this night. They were amazing and performed for a packed house. This night would not be possible without the tireless effort of Ms. Bawer, Ms. Fogarty, Mr. Dumont, Mr. Alboum and Mr. Nolan. The full performance is linked below. Enjoy!
