PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Pleasant Run Elementary Families:
Thank you students and staff. Everyone continues to do a great job of wearing masks and physically distancing themselves while at school. I want to encourage you to adhere to these same safety measures outside of school. As we enter into the 4th full week of school and getting closer to colder weather, the need to monitor students prior to coming to school will continue to be a top priority for our families and caregivers. In the event that your son or daughter is experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or has been tested for COVID-19, please keep them at home and contact your child’s school immediately.
Our next breakfast and lunch distribution for all VIRTUAL students will continue to be Tuesday and Friday mornings from 8:00 - 9:30 AM at Moorhead Community Resource Center. Starting next week, we will also be adding Tuesday evenings from 4:30-6:00 PM as an additional distribution time. I would also like to remind our 6-12 students that we are offering a take home meal for your VIRTUAL Application Day.
Reminder, If you have a tech or device need, please submit a help ticket through IncidentIQ support system by clicking on Technology under the Explore Tab and then select Parent Tech Info. Families can also use this process or contact their child’s school to request a WIFI hotspot. We will continue to provide device support at Moorhead Community Resource Center Monday - Friday from 11:00 - 1:00. We have identified about 600 students who have not returned their device from this past spring. Please bring your device to Moorhead or your child’s school. Families will be billed for devices that haven't been returned.
In order for our schools to be in compliance with the state laws regarding immunizations, please make sure that your student(s) have their updated information on file with your school's nursing staff. All student vaccines must be on file and up to date by September 21, 2020 to avoid exclusion. Please make your school's nursing staff aware of any upcoming appointments for vaccines, or if there are any medical or religious objections to your student receiving his or her vaccines
Also, PLEASE inform your school's nurse of any chronic health conditions that the school should be made aware of, and that your student's medical emergency information is up to date.
Stay Strong, Stay Awesome, Stay Healthy!
Mr. Koomler
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
All Students
Attendance
For the 2020-2021 school year, Warren Township has transitioned to a new student information system called Synergy allowing our parents and caregivers to have improved access to school information through the parent portal called ParentVUE. We are aware that at his time some students’ attendance records are reflecting students are absent, when in fact they were present. This is mostly the case for our students who are attending school VIRTUALLY on application days or in the VIRTUAL opinion full-time. We want to assure you that teachers are keeping accurate attendance records and that we are working to correct attendance records for all our students.
