News & Information for November 2022
Thank you for the successful Trunk of Treat event!
Tri County Times published this news article with some highlights.
Halloween Parties
Linden Elementary will be celebrating Halloween on Monday, October 31. There will be a parade in the Parent Pick Up/Drop Off Loop in front of Linden Elementary. The parade
begins at 2:00 pm. Parents can begin lining up at 1:50 pm. In the event of rain, the
parade will be brought indoors in the Gym.
The students should bring their costumes to school in a bag or backpack with your
child’s name on it. Please use good judgement when selecting a costume. Swords,
wands, brooms, masks, weapons, make up, fake blood, or inappropriate masks
should be avoided and kept home.
All visitors will need an iChat on file one week prior to Halloween. There will be
sign in sheets for visitors to sign in by classroom. All students are required to be
signed out with their classroom teacher if leaving before the end of the day.
Check with your child's teacher for specific party times.
Dr. Wax Orthodontics Lace Up for Learning 5K Run/Walk 2022
Their mission at Dr. Wax Orthodontics is to make a positive impact in the lives of our patients and our community. Their annual Lace Up For Learning 5K Run/Walk is on Saturday, November 5th and is one of the many ways they give back to area schools. When participants register, they choose which school they prefer a portion of their registration fee to be donated back to (it’s part of the registration questions). Any (elementary/middle/high) school is eligible to earn money!
This event is truly a great way to earn money for our school, promote an active lifestyle for your students along with showing your school spirit!.

Message from Food Service
Linden Community Schools Food Service will no longer be able to provide free meals to all students for the 2022-2023 school year, so please make sure to fill out your Free and Reduced Meal Applications.
In addition to possibly qualifying for Free or Reduced Meals, this information is critical in determining the amount of money that our school receives from a variety of State and Federal supplemental programs like Title I A, At-risk (31a), Title II A, E-Rate, etc. Specifically, this supports our Intervention Programs at Linden Elementary. To complete the form, click on this link for the form and information - Free & Reduced Application. You may also click on this link for Frequently Asked Questions.
Food Service is also looking for energetic people that love kids. If you are looking for a part time job that would fit into your child's school schedule, this job is for you!
For more information call Michele Lubahn at 810-591-0435.
