This Week in SEL/Homeroom
This week has been a busy week at LMS as we have had some wonderful opportunities for conversations in our homerooms. This is Kindness Week and we have been sharing some motivating history lessons as we celebrate Black History Month. Some homeroom teachers have also started working with our next Social and Emotional (SEL) lessons on MOTIVATION and how to lean into this when challenges come our way.
For further conversations with your student: How can we use challenges to propel us forward instead of sending us into the “flood zone”? Can you share stories with your student(s) about your own accomplishments after overcoming a challenge? How were you able to continue to work toward your goal and find success?
Can you help? Just answer a quick question below that helps connect us from home to school? Participants will be entered into a drawing for a family gift each quarter. Family Connection Question
