Patriot Nation,

We would like to express our thanks to our wonderful families for such a great week! We had the opportunity to sit with Franklin Covey and Leader in Me this week to discuss our evidence of growth over the past two years as a Lighthouse Campus. We were able to share all of our wonderful events, engagement opportunities for our families and more. This was such a great story to tell, and it wouldn't be possible without your support.

We have a big event on Tuesday April 27th, Leadership Night that we hope you can attend. This event will feature our choir, art displays, food trucks and more! We will be keeping an eye on the weather as well, so that we can make an informed decision on whether to cancel or postpone the event. Thank you again for all you do and the support you send each and every day!

We are honored to have our annual Leadership Night here at Jack! We can't wait to share our Voices with our community. Our choir will be performing, there will be student art work on display, art awards, food trucks and Leader in Me activities! We hope you can join us!

The Junior League of Tyler is collecting books for Tyler ISD’s new Literacy Bus that will be coming to a neighborhood near you this summer!

The Literacy Bus is an interactive bus that will travel to neighborhoods throughout the Tyler ISD community. The bus will provide access to high-quality books and resources for our community’s youngest learners.

Want to get involved? Community members can donate new or like-new books for preschool and elementary-age children through April 30 by dropping off donations at one of these locations throughout the community:

• Brookshire’s (Bergfeld Center), 2020 Roseland Boulevard;
• Brookshire’s, 100 Rice Road;
• FRESH by Brookshire’s, 6991 Old Jacksonville Hwy;
• Hollytree Country Club, 6700 Hollytree Drive;
• Junior League of Tyler Inc., 1919 South Donnybrook Avenue;
• Meals on Wheels East Texas, 3001 Robertson Road;
• The University of Texas at Tyler Herrington Patriot Center, 3900 University Boulevard (off Old Omen Rd.);

We have Patriots that have returned to campus this six weeks and wanted to send out a reminder about our dismissal procedures. Please know that we no longer have walk up dismissal. You have the option of using our carline, or your child can be a walker. Please let you teacher know how your Patriot will be getting home each day. If something changes for an emergency, please let our front office know and we can inform our teachers.
